2019 Missoula Smokejumper Physical Instructions

1)      Open email that you received from emedical@gdcii.com.

2)      Follow the instructions and wait for another email.
3)      Open the second email, follow instructions, complete Part A and wait for the third email.
4)      Open the third email and PRINT THE EMAIL.  It has a “Unique Physician Access Code” that your physician will need.  Take this printed email with you to the doctor’s office.
5)      Schedule an appointment for a Smokejumper Physical, preferably at Occupational Health in Missoula 329-5746.
Occupational Health 3055 N. Reserve Street, Suite D Missoula, MT 59808
You may use other doctors, the last printed email explains how the doctor is supposed to proceed, and it goes smoother with Occupational Health as they are very familiar with the process.

6)      Payment this year will be done by purchase card holders here at the base.  At Occupational Health, just tell them you are a Missoula Smokejumper and they’ll know how to handle the payment.  If you are going to a separate doctor, have a purchase card holder ready to receive a phone call and make the payment for you over the phone.

2019 Project List is up!

The 2019 Project List is posted below.  This will be the list that is used to fill the R-8 modules as well as other out-of -region project work for the winter/spring of 2019.  As a reminder, the first R-8 modules are scheduled to begin driving down around the 15th of January.  If you would like to be available for the early modules you need to make sure you will be in pay status by Pay Period 1 and have your new Government Travel Card.  We will likely begin making calls to fill the first module shortly after the first of the year.  Call Sam Pfahler (406-546-6752) or the Ops phone with any questions.  Have a good Christmas and get ready to get back in the woods!
