The Missoula Smokejumper Visitor Center will soon be filling a NTE 120 day temporary promotion/detail, for a GS-1001-06/07, Visitor Services Information Assistant position, located at the Aerial Fire Depot in Missoula, Montana.   Responses to this Detail Outreach are due April 30, 2020.

THE POSITION:     The primary purpose of the position is the dissemination of information and interpretative assistance to the public regarding the Missoula Smokejumper Program. 

Leads a team who provide interpretive talks/tours offering accurate and appropriate information to the public.  Greets visitors, and responds to a variety of inquiries regarding the USFS and the Smokejumper Program.  Ensures the information desk at the Smokejumper Visitor Center is covered at all times.

Per diem and travel expenses are not authorized for this detail opportunity.

Missoula Smokejumpers 2020 Refresher Classes

There will be a refresher class scheduled every weekday 4/8-4/17 from 1000-1200. Additionally, there will be a meeting, regarding the on-boarding process for new permanent employees on 4/10 at 08000. The link to each refresher class will be the same, but the on-boarding meeting has a unique link.
